Åkerbär

Project Å kerbär, located in Kalix Municipality, is a green ammonia project with a capacity of 300 MW. The project strives towards flexible and synegetic production to help reduce emissions beyond ammonia. By utilising otherwise overlooked byproducts this project can support nearby industries and society in reducing their emissions too.

Project Å kerbär was approved grant from the Swedish Energy Agency (Energimyndigheten)for the first phase of its feasibility study. The grant of 9.38 million SEK will be used to evaluate the project's technoeconomical and sustainability prerequisites in a more in-depth analysis. More information to be published as the project progresses.

Å kerbär finansieras genom Industriklivet, som ingår i EU:s Facilitet för återhämtning och resiliens (The Recovery and Resilience Facility, RRF). RRF är ett inslag i Next Generation EU. Industriklivet är en regeringssatsning som drivs av Energimyndigheten.

Å kerbär is funded through the Industrial Leap, which is part of the EU Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF) and Next Generation EU. The Industrial Leap is a government initiative run by the Swedish Energy Agency.
